Greek Vasilopita 2026

Are you familiar with the Greek New Year tradition of Vasilopita? Despite the fact that the beginning of the year is busy with work and preparation for our two upcoming games, we managed to gather in our offices and celebrate the new year. It was a small break that we all needed.

First, here are a few facts about the vasilopita tradition. Vasilopita is a cake pie made in honor of Saint Basil. A lucky coin called a flouri is placed inside the cake. The cake is divided into equal pieces, and each person gets one. Sometimes, a building or project might even get a piece. Whoever gets the piece with the flouri is said to have good luck for the year. The flouri from our cake went to Antonios, so you know what to expect! Or maybe not...

We also had the opportunity to share with our friends and family the progress of Restart and Path of Salt, the two games we are currently working on. It's also a chance for us to share brief updates with all of you. The Restart prototypes are in progress and will soon be ready to ship to collaborators and friends. At the same time, we are working on the pre-launch campaign page, which will launch soon with lots of information about the new, refined version of the game. Path of Salt (the name is not final yet) is another creative project that we are working on for 2026 in collaboration with the Yamochori Project. The game is still in the design phase, but we will soon be ready to share more about it.
