That’s How Games Should Be
May 27, 2025Building Synergies - Games in Public Spaces
As we have said many times before, being a board game design and publishing company has given us the opportunity to meet wonderful people and socialize, exchanging ideas not only about board games, but also about life. It's great to be part of a community with such a warm and powerful heart, where we can talk about board games, have fun and explore new possibilities! And it gets even better!
Over the past few weeks, we have had the great opportunity to give back to the community some of the love and kindness that Teetotum has received over the years. The tireless people of The High Mountains (a social cooperative enterprise based in the eastern Zagori region of Ioannina, Greece) invited us to participate in one of their new initiatives called 'Building Synergies'. People, organizations, companies and local authorities from Ioannina and the wider area of Epirus joined the panel to explore opportunities for collaboration and synergy. Needless to say, we accepted the invitation to participate and help in any possible way.
Although it is too early to predict the outcome of this pioneering initiative, I must say that the passion, courage, consistency and organizational skills of the people of The High Mountains convinced me that this is the beginning of something truly great. Teetotum is here to support in any way we can, starting with sharing our ideas for transforming public spaces and parks into modern, fun city gaming areas. When we presented our ideas, there was so much enthusiasm and support from the local authorities and community representatives, showing how welcome new ideas are. We were also honored to share the panel with Mr. Petros S. Kokkalis, a former member of the European Parliament and founder of the "Kosmos" ecological citizens' movement. Mr. Kokkalis made some really pertinent remarks on how these kinds of public games can promote a sense of ecology, recycling, and green energy.
If you would like to find out more about this amazing initiative, you can follow The High Mountains' page and learn all about their activities. We are really proud to be part of this, and we are looking forward to seeing what happens next. We are always ready to cooperate, innovate and give back to the community.
