Best Essen Spiel Ever

What an amazing year 2024 was, especially with so many successful board game conventions, leaving behind the previous years when it was impossible for people to attend conventions, 2024 was probably the year with the most visitors to conventions.

The Essen Spiel could not be an exception, of course. Not only did it manage to attract hundreds of visitors from all over the world, but for the first time this year it managed to have a full house! For the first time in the fair's history, all the halls were filled with exhibitors. Can you imagine? Four days to walk through six huge halls full of board games. Wow!!! It was amazing.

Teetotum could not miss the party, of course. We were there to present Age of Rome and Restart and oh boy did we have a blast or what... We would like to thank everyone who stopped by our booth to try out Age of Rome and Restart, or just to say hello and have a look. Your interest and warm words are the fuel for our creativity. It is amazing to be able to share our passion for board games with all of you, to hear your thoughts and suggestions, and with your help, to try to be even better at designing and producing board games. This kind of support is rare and we can't express how much we appreciate it.

Once again, the game was a great opportunity to meet with extraordinary people in the board game community. Just to name a few and thank them for the great conversations. A-Z Kiadó games from Hungary spent some time at our booth and played a few rounds of Restart, this could be the start of a future cooperation. Another short session of Restart was with Asmodee, who really enjoyed the uniqueness of Restart and will certainly keep it on their radar. Many others were also interested in our games and we hope that some of them will become our future license partners. Of course, as always, credit goes to our licensing agency and our friends at MOB Vanguard for making all these creative meetings possible.

When we returned from Essen, we immediately launched the Restart campaign. Unfortunately, however, we had to cancel it for various reasons and postpone it until 2025. You can read more about this in our detailed update on Kickstarter. Hope to see you next year at Spiel 2025!
